I had heard about Liuyang fireworks for a long time. By chance, I learned that the last fireworks show of 2024 would be held over the weekend, so about a week in advance I invited a few friends and we drove there together.

Liuyang has a fireworks show every Saturday. Each show lasts about an hour and is hosted in turn by well-known local fireworks companies. It is both a local cultural tourism feature and a form of product promotion.

We failed to get the official CNY 1 tickets, so we eventually chose a guesthouse lawn just outside the venue wall. It cost about CNY 30 per person.

The drive from Wuhan took about 4 hours. We set off around noon and arrived at about 5 pm.

The show was extremely satisfying: colorful clouds, leaping fish, and one surprise after another. Sitting on the lawn, the crowd kept exclaiming in amazement. It was absolutely worth it.

After the show ended, perhaps because everyone still wanted more, many people started lighting Gatling-style fireworks together. The scene was spectacular.

Local Gatling fireworks cost only CNY 20 each. The production area really has confidence.

We bought a few fireworks, then drove to Changsha. The next day we wandered around, ate stinky tofu, drank Sexy Tea, had Benluobo, and then returned to Wuhan.

It was a very happy and perfect fireworks trip.
